ReplyDeleteThe videos were a little odd in the fact that the speech synthesis made for a disjointed communication.
I don't particularly enjoy role plays, however I usually find myself fairly at ease when participating in them.
I don't really feel that this has been particularly helpful for me, as I am much older than most of my fellow students and have experience in the workplace anyway.

ReplyDeleteThe videos being old and guffy, did a good job demonstrating a good interview vs a bad interview. Though the videos do not demonstrate how one may achieve a good interview skill/experience.
the video was a good example, however, bad behaviour from the interviewed person. she makes a lot of mistake which laid her to loose the vacancy. She should turn off the mobile phone and never hit her hair.

ReplyDeleteThe videos do not demonstrate much to me how a candidate may achive a good interview it was more based on how you should act in a interview not what you need to do to have a sucessful one.
As for role play i believe that it is a good way of preparing yourself for an interview as you would have a sense of how it would work.
The vidoes will not make much of a difference to me as i have worked before and been through various interview processes.
This exersice was different to normal lectures in terms of how we watched a video and then answered questions.
The video provided good examples or job interviews, although the second one was a bit 'over the top'. I didnt mind that the video was of animated characters, it still gave the impression of an interview, and i still learnt from it. I dont really want to participate ina role-play situation, and i dont feel any more comfortable doing it now that we have watched the videos.
ReplyDeleteOverall i enjoyed the videos and learnt from them a lot :) :)
